Dr Janette McMahon
B Bus, Grad Dip Psych, B Psych(Hons), D Clinical Psych, FCCLP, MAPS.
Dr Janette McMahon completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2009. She worked in both community and hospital settings before starting her own private practice in 2008. Janette specialises in Anxiety Disorders, Attachment Loss and Trauma, Acute Stress Disorder, PTSD and Dissociative Disorders. She has also worked extensively with serving members and veterans of the Australian Defence Force.
Janette had been working extensively with clients with PTSD and trauma, including serving ADF members and veterans. After attending EMDR training with Sigmund Burzynski. She immediately commenced using EMDR Therapy with her clients, both Janette and her clients were astounded at the results. She became committed to improving her skills and training in EMDR Therapy. Janette continued her EMDR training and became an EMDR Consultant, Facilitator and Trainer for the EMDR Institute in Australia. Janette is also a Facilitator at Dr Roger Solomon’s EMDR Master Classes in Australia and Asia.
Janette is a registered Clinical Psychologist with Medicare, the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Psychology Board of Australia. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a Fellow of the APS Clinical College. She is also registered Clinical Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
