Dr Janette McMahon is a Clinical Psychologist. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2008. Janette has experience in both community and hospital settings and has trained extensively in the assessment and treatment of severe mental illness. Janette has been the principal psychologist with Aspire Psychology for 11 years.
Janette had been working extensively with clients with PTSD and trauma, including serving ADF members and veterans. In 2014 she commenced her EMDR training with Sigmund Burzynski. She immediately commenced using EMDR Therapy with her clients, both Janette and her clients were astounded at the results. Janette became committed to improving her skills and training in EMDR Therapy. Janette has attended 3 EMDR masterclasses. She became an EMDR Accredited Practitioner in 2019 and is currently training to become an EMDR consultant.
Janette is a registered Clinical Psychologist with Medicare, the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Psychology Board of Australia. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a Fellow of the APS Clinical College. Janette is a registered Clinical Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
