Dr Janette McMahon completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2009. Janette worked in both community and hospital settings before starting her own private practice in 2008. She specialises in Anxiety Disorders, Attachment Loss and Trauma, Acute Stress Disorder, PTSD and Dissociative Disorders. She has also worked extensively with serving members and veterans of the Australian Defence Force and First Responders.
Janette had been working extensively with clients with PTSD and trauma, including serving ADF members and veterans. After attending EMDR Institute training, she immediately commenced using EMDR Therapy with her clients, both Janette and her clients were astounded at the results. Janette became committed to improving her skills and training in EMDR Therapy. She continued her EMDR training and became an EMDR Consultant, Facilitator and Trainer for the EMDR Institute in Australia. Janette also organises and facilitates EMDR Master Classes presented by Dr Roger Solomon in Australia and Asia.
Janette is a registered Clinical Psychologist with Medicare, the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Psychology Board of Australia. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a Fellow of the APS Clinical College. She is also registered Clinical Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
