Ranka Margetic-Sosa BA in Psychology and BA in Education, Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Theory and Practice

Ranka lives and works in New Zealand. She is registered psychotherapist with more than 25 years of experience providing therapy for adults. Ranka also provides supervision for a variety of professionals in health and education.

In the last 3 years Ranka has been in private practice. Before that she was a foundation staff and was a clinical leader helping develop a specialised services for treatment of torture and trauma for people who were former refugees. Ranka has BA in Psychology and BA in Education, Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Theory and Practice. She has extensive history of professional development and has kept with the abreast in psychotherapy field.
She started her EMDR training in 2009. In 2015 Ranka became EMDR Institute Case Consultant and Facilitator. She has contributed significantly to the development of EMDR in New Zealand.

Ranka’s specialised areas of clinical work are: trauma, complex trauma, developmental trauma and attachment ruptures, migration and cultural challenges, grief.

Ranka has worked with refugees, indigenous people from the world, veterans, first responders and also with general population of New Zealand.
